Welcome to the website of the Glenelg High School Bands and Marching Unit, one of the premier band programs in the state of Maryland and the East Coast. For over 30 years, this group, consisting of the symphonic band, jazz band, marching band, dance team, and silks squad, has received hundreds of awards and first place finishes in state and national competitions.

• Glenelg to Host Howard County Band Assessment - On Friday and Saturday, March 12 and 13. Glenelg will host the annual county band assessment. Concert bands from all Howard County schools will be performing in the GHS auditorium throughout this weekend. Catch the award-winning Glenelg Symphonic band on Friday evening at 8:00 PM.
• GHS Jazz Ensemble in Concert - On Friday evening, March 19 at 7:00 PM, the award-winning GHS Jazz Ensemble will be live in concert in the GHS auditorium.This annual concert is one of the favorites of the school year, and promises to be a great evening of music. This year's guest soloist is the fabulous trumpet player Dave Detwiler. Tickets are available from any band member or at the door.
