Jazz Legend Maynard Ferguson

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of jazz legend Maynard Ferguson. He has electrified audiences at Glenelg High School since 1980, and generations of Glenelg and Howard County band students have been inspired and touched by his world class talent and genuine love for young musicians. He consistently sold out the house at Glenelg and brought the audience to its feet before the last chord. Maynard always loved his tour stop at Glenelg, and Mr. E loved sitting in with the band and trading fours with "The Boss"! Thanks for all the fabulous musical memories Maynard. Glenelg and the world will miss you!
